It's hard to believe that my sisters are 17 today. It seems like just a few weeks ago they were still in Kindergarten, running around in matching pink and green outfits, with most people unable to tell them apart if it weren't for the color of clothing. To celebrate, tonight I'm taking them to dinner and then to see The Incredibles. I will say that they are probably the coolest little sisters ever. Even though their (7 year) older brother is "Dorky" they're still not ashamed to be seen in public with me. Probably because I loan them money like it was water and am the only one who will take them to the record store and comic shops. But isn't that what big brothers are supposed to do?
Meanwhile, it looks like the trip to Scotland and England is off. Twitch's Sister broke off her engagement over the weekend. That does mean, however, that I can do one of two things with the money:
1) Go anyway, just a little later so as to have more money to spend.
2) Buy a house, thereby giving rosamicula or the Elf somewhere to stay if they come visit. Or anyone else, for that matter.
I've had a house offered to me, but I think I'm going to pass on it. I just don't see myself being able to fix everything that's wrong with it to my own satisfaction. I'll probably just hold off until I have more money for a down payment.
