Notes to self for future reference:

When performing a Debian Linux install:

ALIEN is required, as Radeon drivers are in RPM format.

KDE does not auto-install X11. Install it, then KDE, then the Radeon drivers, and use the XF setup that comes with the Radeon driver set.

ALSA defaults to main volume at 0. Use Kmix to put the volume to a sane level.

When mounting the FAT32 shared drive, umask=000 is required to make the properties RWXRWXRWX isntead of RWXR--R--
